This week’s blog is a bit different. Usually I write a medium-length but full-fun post hyperfocused on one part of the marketing experience. Instead, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Bob Bentz, President of Purplegator marketing firm and adjunct professor of mobile marketing at West Virginia University. Despite the fact that Bentz was actively attending a marketing conference at WVU, he was gracious enough to agree to spend 20 minutes with me.

The purpose of the interview was to gain insight from someone who has spent decades in the industry, boots on the ground, and working with customers to achieve their brand goals. Bentz’s experience stretches across telecom, media, and mobile marketing.
Bentz shares wisdom on topics such as the Spice Girls, brand awareness, trends, non-digital media, software, employee success, and more. With a dynamic personality and plenty of experience to draw from, I thoroughly enjoyed taking some time to engage with someone who could certainly teach me (and many others) a thing or two.
